Hi just wanted to let you know I put moonbeam to sleep today using clove oil. I came home to find him on the bottom of the tank breathing heavily and laying on one side. I swore if it got this bad I wouldn't let him suffer . He put up a brave fight as you all know . But his quality of life was poor. He was struggling to get food, struggling to swim , and then breath . He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him . He's taught me how to be a tropical fish keeper something I knew nothing g about before I got him ! Thanks for all your help over the last year .

Sorry to read of this, Ally, but sounds like it was the right decision at the right time, having tried all options in recent months. You will hopefully have many happy memories of him in his better days that you can enjoy once the current inevitable heartbreak starts to ease. RIP Moonbeam.

Sorry to hear about Moonbeam.
This sort of decision is always difficult, especially with a fish that has a lot of character.

Bye bye Moonbeam.

You did the right thing. When the time comes it is cruel to try to keep the fish alive any longer. But it is never easy on the fish keeper.

Always that little bit more sad when you lose a named fish. :/  Hope you're OK.
