Feeding corys

So I have 5 x false julii Cory's and 3x orange laser Cory's all about an inch to an inch and a half long at the moment...

I have been putting one corydoras tablet by fish science in the tank every day, they never seem to immediately go for it, more like they will all periodically come across it and snuffle up some of what has broken up then bugger off round the back of the tank again, it usually goes within an hour or so with my tetras taking an interest in it too...

I'm wondering is that enough for the Cory's? I have ordered some vitalis catfish pellets arriving tommorow hoping they might get a bit more enthusiastic about those? Any other food anyone would recommend?

They dont seem to get a look in with the frozen stuff as my rainbows gobble it up so quick, I read maybe trying to syringe it at the bottom can help? That also means sticking my arm right in though haha.

In my experience corys are more of a constant scavenger than a gluttenous feeder - you seem to be experiencing the same... your food choices are good and I have used the vitalism ones myself - dont be afraid to put some tablets in and amongst any decor/plants/at the back of the tank where the cories can graze of them in their own time. How much to feed depends on how much of your normal food hits the substrate when feeding, I don’t often feed my cories specifically now that I have a food mix containing both a floating and a sinking ‘normal fish food’ as a decent amount makes it to the bottom between the hungry mouths.

I only just got the extra 5 Cory's on Saturday so just worrying if they have enough! I imagine a bit of the usual food ends up on the bottom as I break up my flakes to real small bits to make sure my tiny rasbora get a look in so I reckon quite alot of little bits get missed too! Dont think many micro pellets get to the bottom with my greedy dwarf rainbows though!

I had been putting the cory tablet at the front to try and encourage them to come out more (and so I could watch them) but maybe I should be less selfish and put it nearer the back if they are happier there. Funny cause the 3 lasers hang out at the front loads more than the 5 juliis and theres more of them they should be more confident right lol  :fishy1: :fishy1:
